05 October, 2015 – It was a spectacular and thrilling Supersport race at the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit on Sunday. It was also an all-Sidi celebration with American PJ Jacobsen (CORE'' Motorsport Thailand) winning the race and with Turkey's Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) coming in second at the checkered flag for a mathematical 2015 world title win, with one race still to go to end the series. This is Sofuoglu's fourth World Champiosnhip in the category (2007, 2010, 2012 and 2015).

On the French racetrack, the two aces from the Sidi stables battled it out for most of the race, until Sofuoglu chose to accept the second place that secured him the title. The riders competed on the track and shined on the podium in their Sidi Vortice boots, which stand out once again as the top line in Sidi’s speed and track collection. As the season began, Sofuoglu could already be considered as the one to watch in World Supersport; having earned this fourth world title he has now been consecrated as a genuine legend in this class.

Sofuoglu more than deserves this victory, but unfortunately this year he was also dealing with a very sad family tragedy. The 2015 season was off to a great start, with Sofuoglu leading the series right after the first few races. Then, just before the weekend at Imola, sad news was announced: his first child, Hamza, was seriously ill. In spite of the situation, Kenan gathered his strength, hit the track and won the race. The Turkish rider then went on to four consecutive successes but tragedy struck again and right before the race in Sepang news of Hamza’s death was announced. With pain and sadness in his heart, Sofuoglu gathered his courage, and with guts and determination he forged ahead, focusing all his attention on the goal of the world title. This victory is a joy that cannot cancel the pain. Of course, the rider dedicated the win to his deceased child. Kenan Sofuoglu’s fourth world title will forever remain in the history of motorcycling and in the memories of those who were involved with this story.

We wish Sofuoglu hearty congratulations and send him a warm embrace on behalf of the entire staff at Sidi Sport. Thank you Kenan, Sidi is with you…
