Donington Park in Britain isn’t known for having the warmest temperatures on the planet, but when the WSBK show comes to town there’s no question that things start heating up. Chaz Davies warmed Donington up to a new degree today when his Aruba.it Racing Ducati caught fire in FP2.

Thankfully the Welshman escaped from the fiery incident, his Ducati wasn’t so lucky. The Aruba.it Racing Panigale had a sad ending to the day as it continued to burn until the marshals put it out of its misery.

Though probably feeling bad for his motorcycle, Chaz himself probably wishes he had a better ending to the day too. The Ducati rider was forced to miss valuable laps in FP2 putting him 13th in the session, and ultimately watch Tom Sykes finish the session on top.
