The GEICO Motorcycle Adventure Rally 2016 - Rockies Edition Recap

Adventure Rally 2016 from Gunnison, CO.Cycle World

Gunnison, Colorado, again played host to three days of epic riding. This year, participants at the Rockies Adventure Rally took on some great new special tests and chased more than 95 bonus locations spread through a nearly 200-mile radius of Gunnison.

The weather was perfect and the riding even better. Win, lose, or draw, each day at Base Camp saw nothing but smiles as riders discovered what amazing riding the Rockies offer in every direction. Yes, the points get tabulated and winners crowned, but the real point is getting out to have fun on adventure bikes. So, congratulations to our winners and congratulations to all of this year’s participants. We look forward to riding with everyone again soon.

GEICO MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURE RALLY 2016 - ROCKIES EDITION INDUSTRY CLASS FINAL RESULTS

The industry class was full of great tales from the trail, and fun was had discovering the area. In the end, Team BMW issued a true points beatdown, but Team Klim swears that if they had not stopped to help a grandmother stuck in the mud, deep in the wilderness, she would have been devoured by a big, bad wolf.Cycle World
Sponsor support for the Gunnison GOATS was amazing! The GOATS work with land use groups to keep trails open to motorcyclists and to improve the local trails and roads. Without them this event would not be nearly as epic. In total, the raffle raised $1,410, money that will be used directly for further improvements. Special thanks to sponsors GEICO Motorcycle, Klim, BMW, Avon Tyre, Honda, Motion Pro, Scorpion, TCX, Galfer USA, Bell, Alpinestars, Doubletake Mirror, and REVER.Cycle World
