British Customs ‘Beach Sled’ Custom Bonneville

The bike is a bespoke custom build for action sports icon and new heritage lifestyle symbol Chippa Wilson. We wanted to build a bike that reflected who he was as a person and his respect for the rich heritage of motorcycling.

He wanted a bike that he could chase adventures on as well as take for long, easy cruises, and so we were inspired by Steve McQueen, the King of Cool, and his 1960s proto-adventure bikes he called "desert sleds," which were street bikes that had been modified to be ridden off-road.

In the spirit of how those bikes were built, we built the Beach Sled using only bolt-on parts and common tools. The result is what you see: a completely transformed custom motorcycle ready to be taken anywhere.
