Rev'It! is a Dutch company that produces a full range of riding gear, from traditional leather jackets and road suits to textile ADV gear. The Defender Pro GTX jacket and pants shown here employ a "system" philosophy with add-on liners and cooling vests.
Jacket $899, pants $639
The Defender Pro features extensive venting. We rode with the suit in 107-degree temperature and were comfortable. Both pants and jacket feature generous vertical zip-open vents as well as triangular flaps that flip back to expose large mesh areas underneath.
Adjustable straps on both jacket and pants let you tailor a snug fit for less wind flapping, depending on how many layers you’re wearing. And a note here: While the Defender Pro comes in S–XXXL sizing, it’s a typical European fit, which may be snug for some American tastes—consider sizing up.
We teamed the Rev’It! suit with its Dominator GTX gloves. Like the suit, they feature extensive armor and a snug fit. The waterproofing is built right into these (non-removable). Fits like a glove too—you’ll want to try these on to get it right.
The Defender Pro takes a unique approach to keeping you dry. Rather than trying to seal everything to keep you dry, the inner Gore-Tex liner zips in and out. The exterior suit might get wet, but you’ll stay dry.
