Win the Ride for Kids Honda CBR1000RR

You! Yes you, can own this RSD-customized 2008 CBR1000RR for as little as five bucks. Hey, drop a $20 note and you'll have five opportunities—raffle tickets—to ride this Honda home. A random drawing will be held to pick a winner on May 1, 2009.

Dubbed "The Mission," the bike is on display this weekend at the Cycle World Long Beach International Motorcycle Show. It's a joint project between CW, American Honda and Roland Sands Design, the third year running we've combined efforts to help kids and their families battle against brain tumors.

Also helping the cause again is Chris Wood of AirTrix, responsible for the CBR's subtle, stylish paintwork. A tight-fitting Hot Bodies undertail and fender hugger keep the Honda looking clean. In that same vein, we have Vortex rearsets and Spiegler braided brake lines, done in black like the custom RSD top triple-clamp. Aluminum frame sliders, master-cylinder reservoir caps and RSD wheels were black-anodized then machined so some bare metal shows through.

Ride for Kids was founded in 1984 and so far has raised more than $37 million for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, funding research into the cause and cure of children's brain tumors. We're proud to say that over the years Cycle World raffle bikes have brought in $440,000 (and counting) for the charity. Big thanks to all of you who have ponied up for raffle tickets.
