Yamaha’s YZ65 is in elite company. Not every manufacturer caters to young motocrossers in quite the way that the tuning fork brand does. The YZ65 is the smallest bike in the YZ family, and though there are offerings in the Yamaha lineup for even smaller riders, the YZ65 is for the young cougar ready to pounce on the competition.
The YZ65 features a potent liquid-cooled 65cc two-stroke engine with the Yamaha Power Valve System, which delivers snappy, responsive power similar to what you’d find in the full-size YZ (sized for youngsters, of course). More advanced features shared with the larger YZs such as adjustable suspension and the aggressive YZ look will make junior feel like part of the elite ranks.
The YZ65 is mechanically unchanged for 2025, featuring only an updated look to keep it up to speed with the YZ family. But one pleasant surprise you will find on the little 65 is a smaller MSRP. It is priced at $4499 for 2025—$400 less than last year—parking the price tag even further below the competition than it already was.
The 2025 Yamaha YZ65 is available in Yamaha blue for $4499.
