2020 Honda Metropolitan

The first image that comes to mind when you hear the term “scooter” is likely something in the realm of the Honda Metropolitan. Its bulbous styling, automatic transmission, dash and underseat storage, single headlight, and two round rearview mirrors sprouting up are charismatic and carefree in a way; welcoming anyone wishing to get around town via two wheels. The 2020 Metropolitan is powered by a liquid-cooled 49cc engine that is an economical choice for riding to the farmer’s market, store, or café.

The Italians have this classically styled scooter category down pat, but the Metropolitan looks to stand up to its rivals. Competition includes the vast amount of Vespa models including the more powerful Vespa 300 GTS models and the eco-friendly Vespa Elettrica.

No updates are announced for 2020. The Metropolitan is available in Coastal Blue and Pearl Soft Beige.
