Early last month, the Sport Rider Magazine test staff stepped away from their computers and headed to the Horse Thief Mile racetrack in Rosamond, CA, for a full day of riding. Weapons of choice that day weren’t the latest arsenal of supersport machines, rather three of the newest supermoto-inspired bikes from Aprilia, Ducati, and MV Agusta. Hey, if you’re going to take the day off and ride around like a hooligan, might as well do it at the track, right?
Which of the bikes—the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS, Ducati Hypermotard, or MV Agusta Rivale 800—came out on top that day? Find out in the video above, complete with test notes collected from the track and previous days spent testing the bikes around town, where, yes, we still managed to pull a few wheelies and hacked-out rear-tire slides.
If these bikes don’t bring out the 16-year-old child in you, we’re not sure what will.
For a full comparison on these supermoto-inspired hooligan bikes, be sure to pick up a copy of the August 2014 issue of Sport Rider Magazine, on sale now. If you'd rather have a digital copy of the issue, don't forget that you can get Sport Rider Magazine on Zinio or iTunes.
