Next week, at the American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando, Florida, Honda will unveil an updated 2016 CBR500R. While we don’t know much about this entry-level midsize sportbike, these rather cryptic photos shared by Honda hint at a bike that has more aggressive styling and LED headlights that wouldn’t be out of place in a Halloween haunted house.
Honda says the new twin-cylinder 2016 CBR500R has some sporty DNA from the CBR1000RR. While that may be a bit of a stretch, the CBR500R does have an economical price that makes the bike attractive to entry-level sport riders and veterans alike. It really is a versatile little ride, and we can attest to its excellent fuel economy.
At AIMExpo next week—if we're able to get pulled away from Honda's street-legal RC213V-S MotoGP machine on display—we'll learn more about the 2016 CBR500R and get back to you.
