Video: Jake Gagne Crashes out at VIR After a Headshake Separates His Brake Pads

Jake Gagne received quite a surprise this past Sunday at Virginia International Raceway, where after wheelying over a curb he suffered a headshake strong enough to separate the brake pads on his Broaster Chicken/Roadrace Factory-backed R1 superbike. The result was Gagne heading into turn 10 on the North Course with no front brakes.

Gagne, an accomplished motocross rider with more bike control than almost any other rider we've met, can be seen working the rear brake in an attempt to get the bike slowed down and the front pads back biting on the rotors, but is ultimately unable to gather things up and crashes out in the grass.

Talk about a sinking feeling in your stomach...
