Harley-Davidson announced today that it’s kicking off a new type of motorcycle show. One that we never would have thought of before 2020. One that is completely online. With more than 60 builds from 10 countries, Harley-Davidson will be hosting the No Show on its Instagram account starting today, June 15, and going for one week until June 21, 2020.
Rolling out more builds each day for five days, the show will be open to anyone with internet access. All you need to do is log onto Instagram and head to @HarleyDavidson.
Despite all the bikes featured being based on Harley-Davidson platforms, the show is diverse with a wide range of custom styles. Many of the builders displaying their bikes are from the postponed Mama Tried, Born-Free, and Congregation Vintage Car & Bike shows, providing them some recognition for their hard work, despite the current state of the world.
Clicking on any of the bikes on the Instagram page will bring up a video of the builder showing you the details. This gives you an experience you’d never get walking around a big, crowded show—that of a personal walk-through on each and every custom. From café racers to wild choppers, there’s something for everyone at the No Show.
On the final day, June 21, three awards will be given out:
• H-D Styling and Design Award: This will be chosen by the vice president of Styling and Design at Harley-Davidson, Brad Richards. Brad is also a capable custom builder with some incredible choppers in his garage.
• H-D Museum Award: This award winner will be chosen by the Harley-Davidson Museum staff and presented by VP of Harley-Davidson Bill Davidson himself.
• Media Choice Award: This is the one I’m really excited about. Myself representing Cycle World, Wes Reyneke of Bike Exif, and Steve Lita of American Iron will come to an agreement on the one bike we all appreciate the most. I’m sure there will be some conflict, but stay tuned to see what we decide!
Today being the first day, H-D is rolling out the builds from the Mama Tried Show. Head over to instagram.com/harleydavidson now to check it out!
