2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has been bringing its versatile street/track character to the middleweight sportbike category since its introduction in 1995, also known as the heyday of fully faired trackday slogging machines. This year sees the return of the $9,999 (non-ABS) motorcycle that is powered by the 636cc inline-four engine. It offers fun to a range of riders who are looking for an edgy, yet well-mannered sportbike to tackle the various tarmac. Key features include its traction control, power mode, ABS, and Showa suspension.

When we rode the 2019 version, the middleweight sportbike was “Unlike some of its competition, the ZX-6R is a civilized sportbike that’s as at home on the street as it is on track.”

Decades-long rivalries could still be seen between the ZX-6R and the Yamaha YZF-R6 or Suzuki GSX-R600. The Honda CBR650R, of course, also serves as another Japanese rival.

The 2020 model does not see any highlighted changes from the previously updated 2019 model.

The Ninja ZX-6R is available in the KRT edition Lime Green/Ebony, Candy Steel Furnace Orange/Metallic Flat Spark Black, and Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black. Starting price is $9,999.
