Video: Yamaha FZ-09 Street Tracker

Yamaha has released another in its series of “Faster Sons” videos, this one featuring a custom FZ-09 built by Roland Sands with a ’70s-era dirt track theme. Previous videos have featured Japanese custom builder Shinya Kimura and an FZ-07 (see Part 0 and Part 1); the current video is Part 2, “The Challenge,” and follows Sands as he builds and tests his creation in the Los Angeles River. A press release issued states that the video is a teaser for an event scheduled for November 16, when “‘Faster Sons’ will accelerate again.”

The video also features a cameo at the end by Kenny Roberts and his XS650-based flat track bike that he rode in the early seventies to two AMA Grand National Championships. Watch the video here, and be sure to check back on the 16th to see what transpires.
