Video: Victory Project 156 Part II

Dyno tuning the engine for the demanding Pikes Peak Hill Climb

Victory Motorcycles has released a second video covering Project 156, a purpose-built prototype machine to compete in this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb event. In this video, more details of the engine are shown and the challenges of Pikes Peak are discussed.

From the video, it appears the engine uses the bottom-end from the new Indian Scout motor, with prototype cylinders and heads. The Scout, a new model introduced last year by Indian Motorcycles, a Victory brand, is powered by an 1133cc liquid-cooled 60-degree V-twin with double overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. Indian claims 100 horsepower with 72 foot-pounds of torque at 5900 rpm. Watch the video for more details about the testing Victory is conducting to prepare for the race, and to see more shots of the engine and chassis.
