At an official test following the race weekend at Jerez, Jonathan Rea was on fire and set the fastest lap of the day as well as consistently dipping below his own race lap record of 2015 — and made it look easy in the process. The video above shows just how relaxed Rea’s riding style is, and also proves that you don’t need to be excessively moving all over the motorcycle in order to go fast. Rea, for example, has won nine WSBK races this year and achieved 21 podiums, yet he operates in a small area on his Kawasaki and puts only necessary inputs into the bike. There’s surely something to be said about keeping it simple.
