Cameron Beaubier and Josh Hayes headed into the Indianapolis round of the 2015 MotoAmerica season tied for the points lead, yet Beaubier left the Brickyard with an 18-point advantage and almost certain boost in confidence. Now, even if Hayes wins both races at New Jersey and Beaubier finishes second in both, Beaubier will take the Superbike title by eight points.
Mind you, Indy wasn't a complete walk in the park for Beaubier, who finished just .040 of a second ahead of Roger Hayden on Saturday and an even more dramatic .015 of a second ahead of the Yoshimura Suzuki rider in Sunday's race, which was red flagged on lap 16 of 18 due to rain. Josh Hayes finished third in both races.
