Video: 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R Overview

A video overview of Kawasaki’s new Ninja ZX-10R which has been extensively upgraded for 2016.

Kawasaki added some serious competition to the literbike class by releasing its heavily-updated ZX-10R for 2016. Impressed at its initial release and our first ride aboard the Ninja, we we weren’t at all worried to throw it in the vicious waters of this year’s literbike comparison test. The ZX-10R will fight with fellow literbike sharks, the Yamaha YZF-R1 and Aprilia RSV4 RR, to hopefully be crowned this year’s champion.

The ZX-10R comes into 2016 with a list of refinements that were developed from the Kawasaki World Superbike team’s feedback. The Ninja features Showa’s Balance Free Fork technology that is paired with an updated chassis that combine to improve front-end feel and stability. In order to compete with its high tech rivals, the ZX-10R also received engine upgrades and a more sophisticated electronic package that includes traction control, launch control, engine braking control as well as a built-in quick shifter.

Watch for the August/ September issue of Sport Rider Magazine to see how the 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R fares in our literbike comparison test.
