Video: Kawasaki Ninja H2 Goes Aero

Kawasaki’s Ninja H2 gets a large dose of carbon fiber and aerodynamic winglets, according to teaser video.

Kawasaki has released another teaser video on the Ninja H2, and you’re going to need to wipe the drool off your face after watching this one. The video is titled, “Aerodynamic Devices,” and shows carbon fiber wings protruding from the H2′s fairings, a splitter on the front fairing, and aggressively shaped winglets where the mirrors would mount.

Every Ninja H2 teaser video that Kawasaki has released to date has pointed at a high-performance, high-cost motorcycle that’s a departure from the budget-built models we’ve seen of late, but none point as directly toward that idea as this clip. The carbon fiber bodywork and "aerodynamic devices," are most likely for lighter weight, better downforce, and increased stability at speed, but will help take the bike's price tag to a point that makes it out of reach for many. At this point in time, industry folks are guessing the bike will cost something north of $30,000 and be a limited-production model, with around 500 models being made available to a few lucky souls.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 will will be unveiled tomorrow, September 30, 2014 at the 2014 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. Check sportrider.com then for what should be a full reveal of the bike, with all the details, specifications and images.
