The first Superbike/ Superstock 1000 race was red flagged twice due to intermittent rainfall and eventually cut short. Hayden lead early in each portion of the race, but was eventually relegated to third. After that, Hayes and Beaubier traded the lead, with Hayes very clearly not wanting to let Beaubier to get out front and open up a gap.

Beaubier needs to finish third or better in the second race to win the first MotoAmerica Superbike title.

With his win in the Superstock 1000 class in race one, Jake Gagne claimed the first-ever MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 title.
