Marc Marquez stamped his dominance on the Circuit of the Americas, qualifying on pole and finishing the race with more than 2 seconds in hand over Andrea Dovizioso. The Repsol Honda rider has now won all three MotoGP events held at CotA in Texas.

Marc Marquez stayed in second for the first few laps of the race behind Andrea Dovizioso, passed the Ducati rider on the fifth lap and gradually pulled away.

In another strong event for the new Ducati GP15, Andrea Dovizioso (4) led the first few laps of the race and finished on the podium in second.

Qatar winner Valentino Rossi (46) was in second position and shadowed by Andrea Dovizioso (4) for much of the race. Dovizioso made a pass a few laps from the end, and Rossi finished in third.

Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo suffered from bronchitis all weekend but qualified on the front row and finished fourth in the race.

After a mediocre start from the third row of the grid, Ducati rider Andrea Iannone worked his way up to fourth position for much of the race, but faded in the closing laps to finish fifth.

Bradley Smith, on the Tech 3 Yamaha YZR-M1, got a fantastic start from 10th on the grid to run in fourth position for the first few laps, and eventually finished in sixth

Aleix Espargaro (41) led Cal Crutchlow (35) for half the race, and finished just behind the LCR Honda rider in 8th place for Suzuki's first top-ten finish with the GSX-RR.

Suzuki rider Maverick Vinales qualified in 12 spot and worked his way up to ninth at the finish of the race. Here Vinales (25) passes Pramac Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci, who finished in 10th position.

American Nicky Hayden had a dismal start to the weekend, qualifying in 22nd spot and getting a poor start in the race. However, the Honda RC213V-RS rider had a strong race, working his way up to 13th at the finish.
