Whether jumping from outer space or dropping in from mountaintops, Red Bull's media team strafes Earth's edges for ever-harder shooting challenges. Most recently, this lead the team to Lake Baikal.

Considered the deepest lake in the world, Lake Baikal sits in Siberia, just north of the Mongolian border. Why trek all the way out there? To go ice racing of course.

Red Bull tapped Daniil Ivanov, two-time Ice Speedway World Champion for the challenge. He looked out across the frozen expanse and instead of seeing a challenge, saw an opportunity to shred where none have before.

A season's worth of race gas, surviving storms and creaking ice, and a shaman's blessing later, they got the shots. And man, was it worth it.
