Indian Motorcycle recently unveiled a street-legal “custom,” combining its winning chrome-moly flat-track chassis with the 1,133cc Scout motor. It’s the bike many of us have been begging Indian for, and now—while we have no word of any production model coming down the pike—the Minnesota manufacturer has just given us hope that we might someday see this beast become a reality.
We ran the FTR1200 Custom on our dyno to see what kind of numbers it put down. Running fourth-gear pulls we got 98.83 hp at 7,640 rpm and 76.60 tq at 5,720 rpm out of the l iquid-cooled, 60-degree, 1,133cc V-twin motor with S&S Cycle Tracker exhaust .
