Indian's FTR1200 is a standard-styled performance motorcycle with street tracker style. Powered by a 1,203cc 60-degree V-twin, the FTR1200 is Indian Motorcycle'shighest-performing model. Two models are available: the base FTR1200 and the up-spec FTR1200S. The FTR1200 is available in only one trim level, with a nonadjustable fork and only preload and rebound damping adjustments on the shock. Only choice for color for the base is Thunder Black; a manufacturer suggested retail price is set at $13,499. The FTR1200S features fully adjustable suspension, a 4.3-inch TFT touchscreen dash, and three ride modes with lean-sensitive traction control and ABS. All this comes with a $2,000 price increase, putting the FTR1200S at a $15,499 price point. A special Race Replica trim level adds a red, white, and black paint scheme along with an Akrapovic exhaust for $16,999.
We ran the FTR1200S on the Cycle World dyno to measure horsepower and torque numbers. Peak horsepower is 111.5 hp at 8,330 rpm and 79.8 pound-feet of torque at 5,900 rpm.
