How Much Power Does The 2019 BMW R 1250 RT Make?

BMW’s 2019 R 1250 RT is the most sporty of the German manufacturer’s touring lineup. Powered by a 1,254cc flat twin, the R 1250 RT is designed to deliver corner-hugging performance with all-day comfort. The RT is available as a single model with a multitude of options and packages, the most common being the Select package. Three color choices are available at no extra charge: Alpine White, Carbon Black Metallic, and Mars Red Metallic/Dark Slate Metallic. For an extra $1,800 two premium color options are available, 719 Sparkling Storm Metallic and 719 Blue Planet Metallic. Base price is $18,645, but most RT’s are shipped to dealers with the Select package, raising the MSRP to $23,795.

We ran the R 1250 RT on the Cycle World dyno to measure horsepower and torque numbers. Peak torque is 121.8 hp at 7,530 rpm and 95.7 pound-feet of torque at 6,200 rpm.
