2016 Ducati 959 Panigale - DYNO TEST

Ducati’s super middleweight on the Cycle World dyno

Stretching the displacement definition of middleweight convention, Ducati's 955cc 90-degree V-twin revs freely to nearly 12,000 rpm, thanks in part to its oversquare, short-stroke configuration. Power comes in early but exhibits a midrange lull before picking up steadily beyond 7,000 rpm. Its electronic quick shifter and close-ratio gearbox ease the task of keeping the engine singing in the upper third of the range allowing one to fully experience the tactile feel and sonic delivery that is a Ducati hallmark.
