Here's your chance to leather up and do some good at the same time. Yamaha U.S. and Cycle World magazine will be auctioning off MotoGP racer Colin Edwards' riding gear to benefit the Joseph C. Parkhurst Memorial Scholarship Fund at this year's USGP at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The auction winner will take home Edwards' Spidi leathers and gloves, Arai helmet and Sidi boots after the race on Saturday, July 19.In addition to being invited up on stage to receive the "Texas Tornado's" autographed gear straight from Colin, the high bidder will get a pair of three-day general admission passes to the races as well as a pair of passes to the exclusive pre-race Yamaha party on Friday, July 18, at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The auction is already up and running with a $500 starting bid on the eBay auction site and will end at noon on July 13. If the high bidder is not in attendance at the USGP, the riding gear will be shipped to him/her.

The Joseph C. Parkhurst Memorial Scholarship fund was created to honor the memory of Cycle World's founder. It works with the Ride for Kids/Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to award academic scholarships to the survivors of pediatric brain tumors.
