While there were a lot of really great bikes launched at EICMA last November, Ducati's new SuperSport was one of my favorites and was one of the few I claimed as mine when it came time for the press launch.

Sportbikes are beautiful and muscular and fast, and I get why so many people are drawn to them. But the thing is, they really aren't great for daily life. With ergonomics built for the track, they're uncomfortable in stop and go traffic, miserable over speed bumps and potholes, and can be difficult to weave through traffic on.

The Ducati SuperSport bridges that gap with something that looks, at least to everyone but the super enthusiast, like the Ducati sportbikes that have adorned bedroom walls and iPhone screens for years by pairing Panigale-esque looks with comfortable ergonomics and an engine perfect for the street and canyons.

Based around the same engine used in the Ducati 939 Hypermotard, Ducati claims that it's moved power even lower in the rev range while also swapping for longer final drive gear ratios, making 80% of their 71.3 pound-feet of torque available now at just over 3,000 rpm.

The SuperSport also gets variable riding modes and the Ducati Safety Pack, which includes ABS and traction control.

To relax the riding position, Ducati has moved the footpegs and swapped for a set of high clip-ons. It's also added an adjustable windscreen to help keep wind off the rider.

We'll most likely be riding the SuperSport S, which gets nicer Ohlins suspension and auto up/down shifting, as well as some color coordinated bits.

Want to know something more specific? Have a question about some smaller details?

If so, get your questions in down below (now, now, now!) so I have a chance to ask Ducati's design and development team your questions or think about them whilst riding.

I promise to read as many as possible until I get annoyed or bored by people asking me how it compares to the Panigale 959... because I’ll get to that.

Bonus points for asking something I haven’t thought to already answer or for being extra funny.
