Video: This Is What It Looks Like to Break a Track Record on a Honda CBR300R

Hint, it looks fun, and faster than you'd think...

If you ever wondered what it looked like to push a single-cylinder Honda CBR300R to its absolute limits, then this video recently uploaded by Sport Rider's sister publication, Motorcyclist Magazine, is definitely worth a watch. In it, Senior Road Test Editor Ari Henning takes you onboard his wee-CBR for a lap around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway.

More than your typical onboard lap, this is a clip of Henning actually setting a new lap record for Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association's 350 Supersport class, at a 1:58.66. At Chuckwalla, that equates to an average speed of 81 mph, or more specifically, an average speed that's only something like 11 mph slower than a stock CBR300R's outright top speed!

Sound entertaining? Surprisingly, it is.

Click play on the video above to see Henning squeeze every last mph out of his CBR. Oh, and try to count how many seconds he actually spends off the throttle. Hint, it's not long.
