Video: 2017 Yamaha YZF-R6 to debut at Intermot

Yamaha has released a teaser video of its soon-to-be-unveiled 2017 YZF-R6 middleweight sportbike. Set to be introduced on October 4 at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, the new R6 will infuse a long-awaited (and needed) breath of fresh air to a middleweight class that has been stagnant for quite some time. Details on the new R6 are sketchy as you can expect, but we've been told of a new chassis and suspension, along with the expected electronic rider aids along the lines of the latest-generation R1 that has stormed the literbike class. The engine reportedly is an evolution of the current powerplant, although with the R6 currently mopping up in middleweight racing around the world, it's not like it needed a complete redo.
