Beaubier Wins SuperBike Race 2 at Daytona

Hayes drops out due to suspencted mechanical

Cameron Beaubier won the AMA Pro SuperBike race 2 at Daytona. It was the 2013 GoPro Daytona SportBike champions second race in the SuperBike class, and first full weekend aboard the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha R1. Roger Hayden and Martin Cardenas finished second and third, respectively, both aboard a Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing GSX-R1000.

Josh Hayes ran up front for the majority of the race but would eventually drop out due to a suspected mechanical issue. More interesting was that Cameron Beaubier's Yamaha R1 was able to blow right by both Suzuki GSX-R1000s on the Daytona banking--neither Suzuki had enough steam to make the same move.
