The MotoGP World Championship provisional calendar for the 2017 season was released today with no venue changes. The 18-round series kicks off on March 26 for the traditional night race at Losail International Circuit in Qatar and concludes on November 11 in Valencia, Spain.

There are however some date adjustments worth noting, such as kicking off the return from Summer break at Brno in the Czech Republic, with Red Bull Ring in Austria to follow. Also noteworthy is moving the U.S. Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas two weeks later on April 23. Pushing back the date also allows for a two-week break between the Argentina round and CoTA, the necessity of which was learned after last year’s transportation issues leaving Termas de Rio Hondo nearly threatened the U.S. round.

Two of the rounds - the British and Malaysian Grands Prix - have the ominous double asterisk that cautions: "subject to the contract."
