While peak output remains at 140 horsepower, refinements for this year reduce vibration, emissions and noise compared to the previous model. Updated components in the engine include a harmonic damper, a new mechanical cam-chain tensioner, new camshafts and new valve guides, all completely redesigned and utilizing new materials to minimize stress and vibration.Courtesy of MV Agusta
The side covers of the engine are also part of the noise reduction, and act as engine protectors as well. The countershaft, starter motor and primary gear drive are all new, and aimed at improving reliability. Inside the gearbox, the transmission gears have been redesigned for better meshing and a smoother transition between gears.Courtesy of MV Agusta
