"Travel in big style" with BMW's 160-hp six-cylinder Gran Turismo model. This year, it's offered in this Sport version, which includes a special multicolor finish with black wheels, low windshield, and a sport seat. No price for the Sport was available as we went to press. The standard K 1600 GT is available in light gray, blue, and dark graphite.

Ushering in a new era with its semi-active suspension system last year, the HP4 also introduced positive revisions to BMW's traction control and Race ABS systems. "The competition had better be doing its homework," was our road test verdict. The Competition Package includes many of the company's HP accessories and forged aluminum wheels.

The big GS received a major overhaul last year, with a newly designed air/liquid-cooled engine boasting 125 hp and a totally revised chassis to match. Selectable riding modes, Automatic Stability Control, and ABS are all standard equipment, while the optional Dynamic ESA monitors wheel travel and adjusts damping automatically to suit conditions and maneuvers.

The 30 Years Special model of the K 1300 S is offered in white/black/red paint and includes Electronic Suspension Adjustment II, Tire Pressure Monitor, Automatic Stability Control, HP Shift Assistant, and a titanium Akrapovic silencer. Or you can add any of those accessories to the base model, which is offered in silver/black and black/graphite this year.

The S 1000 RR has won every one of our literbike comparison tests since its introduction in 2010, and with good reason; it's hard to argue with 193 hp, standard ABS, selectable riding modes, and its optional Dynamic Traction Control system. The S 1000 RR is back unchanged for 2014, in red/white/black, gray/white, black, or white/blue/red.

This is the long-anticipated roadster version of the S 1000 RR, with even more low-end and midrange power and torque. The R model is offered in red, blue, or white; options include Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control and a huge selection of accessories from BMW's extensive range of touring goodies as well as the HP line.

The touring Boxer is updated with the GS's new air/liquid-cooled engine and sporty bits including Dynamic ESA, Automatic Stability Control, two riding modes, and Gear Shift Assistant Pro, which enables upshifts and downshifts to be made without the clutch. Other updates include a new frame, streamlined aerodynamics, optimized comfort, and TFT color display.

Two Special models of the roadster Boxer are offered this year. The 90 Years Special model celebrates the company's 90th anniversary and features a matte black/gold paint scheme and highlights, while the DarkWhite Special Model has special paint along with a sport windshield and sport seat. The standard version is offered in blue or black/white schemes.

Introduced last year as a successor to the F 800 ST, the GT returns unchanged this year in orange, white, or graphite colors. ABS is standard equipment, while options include Electronic Suspension Adjustment and Automatic Stability Control. A huge array of accessories includes various luggage systems and five seats of varying heights (and comfort).

"Carefree motorcycling fun for everyone!" is BMW's tagline for the F 700 GS. Another new model in 2013, the 700 (with, actually, the 798cc engine from the F 800 GT and GS models) is back unchanged this year in red, silver, or gray. Like the GT, ABS is standard while ESA and ASC are optional; four different seats are offered as accessories.
