Amazon Prime Day Is Coming

What does that have to do with motorcycles?

Amazon Prime Day returns next week, and before you furrow your brow and click on to the next Cycle World story, think about all the motorcycle parts, gear, and apparel you've bought from Amazon through the years. Now read on.

Originally intended as a thank-you to its Prime members, Amazon has expanded Prime Day each year, offering an ever-increasing number of bargains and "Lightning Deals" (flash sales) in a wider selection of categories, and extending this fourth installment of Prime Day to a full 36 hours—from Monday, July 16, at 12 p.m. (PST) to Tuesday, July 17, at midnight. And while Amazon is traditionally the place you go to buy housewares and common everyday items, Prime Day is a fantastic way to score niche items like tech gadgets, tools, and sporting goods at ridiculously low prices. So the chances of finding a new Arai Corsair, Bosch cordless drill, or a GoPro Hero 6 at a deep discount are excellent.

But it's not all tools and tech. From bike covers to heated handgrips, headlights to tank bags, cargo nets to phone mounts to a sweet Dainese riding jacket, chances are there's a seller on Amazon who wants you to buy it.

So keep an eye on this space as we update Cycle World's recommended Amazon Prime Day deals live starting Monday at noon and running through Tuesday at midnight. If we've used it, reviewed it, and/or can't ride without it, we will let you know if it can be had for cheap on Prime Day.

Of course, you've got to be a Prime member to take advantage of Prime Day deals, so if you're not already among the 100 million Prime subscribers worldwide, it's really easy to sign up. And if you're leery of online retail, we get it. Try signing up for the free 30-day trial membership. Then, after you score your Prime Day deals, just cancel.

Pro Tip: Download the Amazon app, and save a bunch of Wish List items into your shopping cart (you can do this without purchasing them). Then, as these items go on sale during Prime Day, you'll get a notification on your phone (be sure to enable these in your settings). This trick will come in particularly handy for the timed Lightning Deals, which usually disappear within an hour. You're welcome.
