| |## Who's Going?ALL Adventure Riders -- are welcome to join. We encourage you to sign-up with a riding buddy or two. This will form the basis of your "Team" for the competition element. If you do sign-up individually, we will pair you with another rider or team – as this type of riding is safest when riding in teams.Producing the Adventure Rally is a team of experts in the areas of rider skills, navigation, and this region of the Sierras. They have been assembled by the Bonnier Motorcycle Group, Consumer Events staff and along with our editors are working in the planning and production of this event.## Meet The ADVENTURE RALLY TEAMNed Suesse is an accomplished racer and adventure rider from Colorado Springs, CO. His resume includes finishing the Dakar Rally, several African rallies, Baja, and too many enduros to count. But his heart is in exploring and traveling. He is a trustee on advrider.com, and owner of Doubletake Mirror, and has organized several navigation rallies in the past.Justin Bradshaw is a founder of Butler Motorcycle Maps and he spends most of his time searching out the best roads and destinations in the U.S. His KTM 990 Adventure has taken him to over 30 countries including remote parts of Mongolia and Siberia. Justin is a board member of the Backcountry Discovery Routes where he is tasked with developing trans-state off-road routes for street legal adventure bikes.Gary LaPlante has literally written a book on off-road motorcycle riding. Gary has an amazingly diverse riding background competing and winning on every form of motorcycle. In fact, growing up in Arizona he was State Trials Champion for three consecutive years. With a life spent on two-wheels Gary opened MotoVentures, sharing his love for riding by teaching others to ride. As a result of what he observed teaching his book "How to Ride Off-Road Motorcycles" was created. Gary will head special test and skills training for the Adventure Rally.Ed Mann brings local knowledge of the Sierra Mountains like no other. Having ridden the area for over four decades it is safe to say that few know the area as well as Ed. His riding experience and credentials go back to his first ride at age eight. Since then he has raced TT, Flat Track, Enduro, MX, Desert and more. He has served as a guide in Mexico and throughout the South West. All of this in addition to his career as Firefighter, Medic/Rescue team member and retirement as Fresno Fire Battalion Chief. Ed is perhaps one of the most capable men we have ever met.| |
