DYNO VIDEO: 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure

Big ADV bike, big power.

It's a fun ride whenever one of us hops aboard a KTM 1290 Super Adventure, thanks in no small way to its 1301cc V-twin (pulled straight from the Super Duke R) that never feels like it's lacking in power. Now we know why that's true. On the Cycle World Dynojet dyno, the four-cam engine of this techno-packed Austrian ADV pumps out 135.2 horsepower at 9,540 rpm and 89.6 pound-feet of keep-moving torque at 6,670 rpm. At a claimed curb weight of 549 lb., the 2015 KTM Super Adventure is a big and heavy bike, but its maneuverability belies its size and its engine packs a heavyweight punch, albeit deftly managed by sophisticated electronics.
