Klamfoth Fire Update

Dick and Bev Klamfoth Fire Fund has raised more than $40K.

I talked at length earlier this week with Bev Klamfoth to see how she and Dick are doing following the devastating fire that consumed all of their worldly possessions the morning of December 20. Both are still recovering physically. Bev had to be hospitalized the morning of the fire with smoke inhalation, and Dick ended up developing pneumonia, but he is getting better.

Bev said they were very humbled by the many great expressions of concern and love, the donations, and other assistance they received. Their days are pretty consumed lately with matters dealing with insurance, rebuild plans, and numerous other details.

One big concern that Bev and Dick have involves the people who ordered a plaque this year for the Monument in Daytona Beach. Please know that all of the Klamfoths records were consumed in the fire, so if you ordered a plaque this year, please contact Bev at 614/597-5512 as soon as possible to make sure she has your information.

Also, the Klamfoths want everyone to know that their two big annual events during Daytona Bike Week are on as scheduled. The Daytona Monument Party at the Daytona 200 Monument (located along the beach walkway just north of the Main Street Pier) is planned for Wednesday, March 11, at 11:30 a.m. Then, on Thursday, March 12, the 21st annual "Over the Hill Gang" breakfast will be held at the Elks Club in Port Orange. The address is 5201 South Ridgewood Avenue (US 1). Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast at 8:00. Information and confirmations can be made with Bev at 614/579-5512 or email: klamfothr@aol.com.

For anyone attending Bike Week this year, I say let’s all give Dick and Bev our support and turn out for their events and help them get their lives back to normal.
