VIDEO: 2015 Zero FXP

Zero's fun and agile FX model provides the basis for a stealthy new electric police bike.

Over at Zero's AIMExpo booth, we had the chance to see the company's four-bike lineup for 2015 and learn some interesting facts. First, Zero is the largest manufacturer of electric motorcycles in the world, in terms of sales volume, number of dealers, and number of models. Moreover, Zero tells us that its bikes now have 10 percent better range for 2015, and ABS has been made standard across the line. Also, an emphasis on improved ride quality has resulted in the adoption of new Showa suspension. Good stuff, all, but the Zero model that really caught our attention was the new FXP, a police version of the highly entertaining FX. In this video, we had the chance to catch up with Zero's Scot Harden to learn more about this white police model, which has already been deployed by the Los Angeles Police Department and is getting attention from dozens of other law-enforcement agencies. We even learned that a famous former motocrosser is now an LAPD officer. Any idea who that might be? Watch this video and find out!
