Flatout Riding Press Release:

Flatout Riding, based in Whakatane is a newly formed 'classic' motorcycle tour company which offers riders the opportunity to tour on one of ten immaculately presented and restored 1975 MKIII Norton Commando's. Offering guided tours through some of New Zealand's stunning scenery – we have hand-picked a selection of the best motorcycle roads in and around the Eastern Bay of Plenty to invigorate the soul.

On offer are two day (weekends) and three day (weekday) tours, with each night based in Whakatane. Our base gives us easy access to some great touring roads which are relatively quiet and off the main tourist routes. With these hand-picked rides we explore the lovely lakes district, the stunning pacific coast highway and through the mighty Waioeka gorge, ensuring a real treat is on offer for our customers.

We are currently in the process of upgrading the electrical systems of the fleet, eliminating the ‘Lucas Prince of Darkness’, rectifying the ‘electric start’ and improving reliability. These upgrades will be offered to customers at a later date.

As the Isle of Man TT has a special place in our hearts, each bike will be officially named after the various IOM TT course vantage points. Our first one will be "Creg-ny-Baa". We are also proud to announce our sponsorship of world renowned classic racing bike builder Ken McIntosh and rider Bruce Anstey, 9 times IOM champion who have teamed up creating a New Zealand partnership to contest the 500cc Classic race at the inaugural IOM Classic TT in August 2013.
