Earlier this week, I received a message from Giovanni Castiglioni regarding my "MV Agusta Rumor Mill" guesswork. Castiglioni said he is not selling MV Agusta to Mercedes-Benz or anyone else, and that he is busy right now closing a couple of bank deals that will provide the legendary make with substantial financing to expand its current model range and invest in new projects.

In this most recent action, Castiglioni is assisted by his newly appointed Executive Vice President, Giorgio Girelli, who comes from the world of international banking and finance, where he still enjoys utmost respect. Castiglioni underlined that all of the deals will close positively within a few days.

Castiglioni also confirmed to me that MV Agusta will unveil no fewer than three new models at the November's EICMA Show in Milan, Italy. This is a sign of great vitality, but the brand needs adequate financial support to be successful in the long term.
