Ducati Hypermotard Hits U.S. Shores

Street hackers, rejoice: The 2013 Ducati Hypermotard family of motorcycles arrived at U.S. and Canadian dealers today. Although we haven’t had an opportunity to throw a leg over the Hyperstrada version of the bike, our first rides of the Hypermotard (on the street) and Hypermotard SP on the Ascari Circuit in Ronda, Spain, proved just how much fun these bikes are.

The brand-new, liquid-cooled, 821cc engine, combined with the bike’s advanced electronics and redesigned chassis, make for a fantastic bike. We’re foaming at the mouth to hop back aboard and go for a rip on some of our favorite local roads. The standard Hypermotard starts at $11,995; the sportier Hypermotard SP, at $14,695.
