Repsol Press Release:

The title fight in MotoGP this season has raised the bar to previously unseen levels. Dani Pedrosa took the runner-up spot in the 2012 World Championship with the most victories of any rider in this season —seven— and took a further eight podiums from the eighteen Grands Prix. This year he broke personal records and was the star of some spectacular races.
