Riders For Health Press Release:

The money raised in the appeal will help 'Riders' ensure that more health workers in Africa have the reliable transport they need to deliver health care to everyone who needs it, no matter where they live. The matched funding will specifically help support programs in Zambia and Kenya.

The appeal launched in June at 'Riders' Day of Champions by British motorcycle racing star Cal Crutchlow. The annual Day of Champions is Riders for Health's biggest event of the year, held before the British GP at the famous Silverstone Circuit. Leading MotoGP riders joined Cal in appearing in the above video encouraging people to donate by texting RFH to a UK phone number.

Andrea Coleman, CEO of Riders for Health said, "I would like to thank everyone who has made this appeal such a huge success; those who raised funds, made donations and, of course, all our volunteers and partners. The Department for International Development recognized in Riders an organization that has created a solution for one of the most neglected but vital aspects of development - reliable transport for delivering health care in rural Africa. We are grateful for this recognition."
