Sport Rider Magazine - May 2014 Issue

In the market for a new middleweight-plus sportbike but torn between the three top dogs? The May 2014 issue of Sport Rider is now on sale and features a massive three-bike comparison test between the Suzuki GSX-R750, Ducati 899 Panigale, and MV Agusta F3 800. Within the issue you’ll also find a comparison between the Triumph Street Triple R and Yamaha FZ-09, in addition to a first ride report on the 2014 Honda CBR1000RR SP.

Picking a winner between the GSX-R750, F3 800, and 899 Panigale was no easy feat, but after weeks of commuting, multiple days of canyon carving, and two days running laps around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway our test riders were able to crown a Middleweight Plus class king. Immediately after, Bradley and his grandfather turned their attention to Yamaha’s FZ-09 and Triumph’s Street Triple R, and wheelied their way to a verdict. Think the FZ-09 was able to kick the Street Triple R off the top spot? Pick up a copy of the May 2014 issue to find out.

In his first ride report on the 2014 Honda CBR1000RR SP, which is also featured in the May 2014 issue, Contributing Editor Alan Cathcart says that, “those who signed up for the new SP on the basis of its stellar looks will be glad to know it lives right up to them.” Further on, in an exclusive interview in which he talks about his new ride with the Aspar MotoGP team, Nicky Hayden says that “I’m motivated for the challenge. I’ve got amazing support; the fans are really good to me, especially American fans. So I want to keep flying the flag as long as I can.” Read more about Cathcart’s time aboard the CBR1000RR SP and Nicky Hayden’s experience with the Aspar Honda team in this jam-packed issue.
