2013 BMW HP4 MSRP Update | Late Braking

BMW released pricing information for its 2013 HP4, providing a better look at how the bike will stack up against its similarly equipped competition in terms of cost. MSRP for each individual package is as follows:

The base model HP4, which includes Dynamic Damping Control; Dynamic Traction Control; Race ABS with new IDM setting; an Akrapovic full titanium exhaust; forged aluminum wheels in gloss black; launch control; and a quick shifter, is set at $19,990. Compare this to the Ducati 1199 Panigale, which sells for $17,995 in base trim but is without any type of ABS, electronic suspension or forged aluminum wheels.

BMW will also make available what it refers to as a Standard Package, which adds to the base model a Pillion Rider Package made to accommodate passengers, and heated grips. MSRP for the standard package is set at $20,525.

The third and final package offered for 2013 is the Premium Package, which includes everything mentioned above in addition to an HP carbon engine spoiler (extended belly pan); HP carbon trim; HP folding clutch and brake levers; adjustable HP rider footrests; forged aluminum wheels in Racing Blue Metallic; and a sponsor decal kit. But what will BMW’s onslaught of performance cost you? MSRP for the Premium Package is a cool $24,995, which is just $1000 more than the ABS-equipped Ducati Panigale S we tested throughout 2012.
