CW Garage: John Baltera's Custom 2003 Harley-Davidson V-Rod

From basket case to hot rod.

I'm a custom painter and fabricator from Connecticut, and this is my 2003 100th-Anniversary Harley-Davidson V-Rod that I own and built. For engine mods, an RCC turbo setup was added with a few updates: a custom exhaust pipe, Barnett heavy clutch, Dynojet PC-III ignition and Dynojet electric shifter.

I also added Legend air-ride suspension. Hog Pro supplied custom wheels, a sprocket, brake rotors and wide swingarm setup. It also sports Performance Machine calipers, an Autometer recall boost gauge, Bill Alm billet bar-end mirrors and a Raptor shift light. The custom leather and stingray seat is by Kalin.

The chrome bar plating and the one-off custom silver base with orange-stripe paint job was done by me and Rob Miller of Alchemy color works. The bike gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.
