Triumph, BMW, and Ducati get gobs of screen time this summer in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, and this autumn in Venom. Industry sources have also told me that the producers of John Wick 3: Parabellum have approached several electric motorcycle companies for Keanu Reeves' neo-noir action thriller, scheduled for release in May 2019.

Stunt riders often have major say in which motorcycles to use in certain situations, and it's reported that decision makers working on Ant-Man and the Wasp chose the Triumph Thruxton R, which Phil Read, Jr., Triumph Motorcycles America's public relations manager, made happen with 10 bikes from 10 different dealers across the country. The movie opened on July 6.

Tom Cruise stars in the sixth installment of Mission: Impossible, which has regularly included the 56-year-old actor and producer on a bike. This time it's a BMW R nineT Scrambler racing through the streets of Paris, carrying Ethan Hunt against traffic around the Arc de Triomphe. The movie opens on July 27.

Tom Hardy, who gave a stupendous performance as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), returns to the comic book genre as journalist Eddie Brock in Venom, scheduled for an October 5 release. Brock gets bound to the Toxin symbiote and wreaks havoc in San Francisco on his Scrambler Ducati Full Throttle.
