Cycle World’s Man In Van With a Plan returns for 2018 with Hayden Gillim stepping up to the AFT Twins class on an Indian Scout FTR750. For the third year of the Man In A Van With A Plan (MVP 3.0) Gillim will focus on four key races on the FTR750, two of which are TT events—the Buffalo TT in Sturgis and the iconic Peoria TT. Additionally he will contest the Black Hills Half-Mile and the second date of the Springfield Mile.

With Gillim's success at the 2017 Springfield TT and Buffalo Chip TT in the AFT Singles class, Cycle World sees the remaining TT races of the year as an opportunity for the 2014 AMA Supersport Champion to shake up the AFT Twins class. Gillim will look to put the Cycle World MVP 3.0 Indian Scout FTR750 ahead of all privateers and even the factory Indian Wrecking Crew. Considering his performance in 2017, the top step of the podium is not a long shot for the 23-year-old racer.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to compete in the Twins class and run the Scout FTR750,” Gillim said. “I’ve had great success in TTs, and I’m excited to put my skills to the test against TT killers like Henry [Wiles] and Jared [Mees]. I’m not going to make any crazy guarantees, other than it’s going to be a ton of fun taking on the best in the game.”

Gillim and Man In A Van With A Plan have seen the massively talented racer campaign the privateer life for two years as a way to put Cycle World readers in the shoes of racers who travel the nation without factory semis and and seven-figure budgets. Racing flat track from the age of three and cousin to Nicky and Roger Lee Hayden, Gillim has the skill and experience to add some extra trophies to the MVP 3.0 shelf.
