Two More Ways to Have Fun at the Quail

Join us on the Cycle World Tour and on Honda’s Road To The Quail.

At The Quail Motorcycle Gathering on May 16, Honda will honor the 40th anniversary of its Gold Wing with a display on the lawn that features all five generations of the sophisticated machine that redefined motorcycle touring.

But that's not all. Gold Wing admirers and Cycle World fans on all makes and models of motorcycle are invited to join the Cycle World Tour, which departs from The Quail on Saturday morning for a 50-mile mile tour of California's scenic Monterey Peninsula. Afterward, we all get to enjoy the classic motorcycle show—one of the finest in the world—on the beautiful lawn. Editor-in-Chief Mark Hoyer will be sampling a 1975 Honda GL1000 on this year's Cycle World Tour, as well as enjoying  a tasty breakfast with all tour participants at a prime spot overlooking the bay. If you want to start your fun before you get to Monterey (and we highly recommend it), consider participating in Honda's Road to The Quail. This fun ride features a series of "check-in's" that start from Morro Bay if you're coming up from the south, or from Bodega Bay if you're headed down from the north. Basically, you will stop at various checkpoints along your route and try to replicate with your motorcycle the photos you find here: http://www.cycleworld.com/2015-cycle-world-tour/. Then you will post them to the Cycle World Facebook page. Participants will receive cool Honda and Cycle World swag on Saturday, which can be picked up at the Cycle World tent on The Quail lawn. Honda's Road to The Quail is absolutely free.

Both of these events are welcome to all makes and all models of motorcycles, and they will make a great weekend that much more special and memorable.

Sign up for these events now! And remember: "The Gold Wing didn't just change the way people go touring on a motorcycle; it changed the way people think about touring on a motorcycle."—Cycle World, April 2015
